How To Become A Top Selling Super Affiliate In ANY Marketing Program! Part 2 of 5

Step One>> Develop an exclusive, high-quality free incentive to grab the attention of your contacts and get them to buy from you.

This is where we will spend the majority of our time.  This is the most important part of the strategy — determining what is going to set you apart from other affiliates and give you the advantage that will help increase your sales and profits.

Step one, quite obviously, is to develop your incentive.  What is it that you want to give away?   Determine what it is that you wish to offer as your incentive for making a purchase through YOUR affiliate link.

And not just “another free eBook.”  Good grief, hasn’t that been beaten to death already?  C’mon, be original.  Be YOU — offer something that can’t be found anywhere else.

It’s got to be “high-quality.”  No junk.  Something that is useful and valuable.  Something that the customer would be likely to buy on its own merits, and would be ecstatic to receive for free by making an affiliate purchase.

After all, two great products for the price of one is an offer few can resist.

What I want to do today is give you some specific examples of WHAT you can offer as an incentive.  Here are 10 examples of incentives you can use to pull in more affiliate sales…

1.1 Graphic Design - Are you handy with graphic design software?  Why not offer a free graphic design to anyone making a purchase through YOUR affiliate link.

Watch this.  This is cool. Find a monthly PLR site that provides a new product each month for its members and charges a recurring membership fee in exchange for the “rights” to modfiy and sell the product. Whether it’s ebooks, videos, software, doesn’t matter…

Then offer to create a UNIQUE COVER for the new product each month and give it away to say the “first 50 people who join through your link”. This way, they get a cover that only 50 people will ever own instead of possibly thousands – and what you’ll do in the process is build up a nice recurring income stream.

Then find another membership site and do it again. Let’s say you are promoting 5 sites and can get 50 members for each site using this strategy, with an average monthly commission of $15 per member, you will be pulling in a cool $3750 each month and all you’d be doing is creating 5 new covers. Not bad seeings how each cover you’d typically only get $50-$100 each. See the potential?

What about putting together a set of unique design templates you’d give away to anyone who joined a web hosting offer through your affiliate link? Maybe you’d offer new templates each month for as long as they keep the hosting service, or even just a nice package ONE TIME to get them on the service would work with this type of program.

1.2 Free Advertising - Here’s something that just about anyone can offer — if they want to.  And that is to give away some kind of free advertising.

Now let’s say you go with a service like ListBuilderPro.com and build up a list of at least a thousand subscribers (or maybe you already have a list which is even better). At this point you can begin offering “free classified advertising” to your newsletter for anyone who purchases ANYTHING through your affiliate link…

For example, “Order XYZ Traffic Secrets through this link and receive FOUR 100% FREE classified ads in my upcoming newsletter.”

Voila.  You’ve created an incentive.  An advantage.  A reason for someone to purchase through YOUR affiliate link instead of another affiliate’s link.

How about offering a free solo mailing to your entire list?  Or, an endorsement mailing?  Or, an entire package of advertising (you could realistically offer a free package of ads IF the product had a large enough commission to justify it).

You simply offer free advertising to anyone who purchases a particular product or service that you are promoting.  Let them promote whatever ad they choose.  Unless your advertising stays booked up — most ezine publishers don’t have that luxury — then it’s a good use of your space.  You earn a quick commission and you offer a valuable incentive to your customers in return. Everyone wins.

And, it doesn’t just have to be ezine advertising.  What about banner ads or guaranteed visitors?  You find a program that offers 10,000 guaranteed visitors for CHEAP (like CheapTargetedWebsiteTraffic.com and you offer that as a free incentive.  Let me show you how easy this is…

Let’s say you are promoting something that earns you around $30.00 per sale.  So, you offer 10,000 guaranteed visitors to anyone who buys through your link.  The customer buys through your link, you make $30.00.  Then you buy the guaranteed visitors for them and the cost is only $10.00 – you’ve just pocketed a quick $20.00 that you probably wouldn’t have had without the incentive.

Now watch this… let’s say you’re promoting a program like our Content Builder Pro software – folks will be much more likely to buy through YOU because they are getting 10,000 guaranteed visitors to their new website they’re going to build with the software. The key here is to *match* your incentive to the product or service you’re promoting.

That’s the idea of “incentive marketing.”  An unfair advantage.  An exclusive offer the customer would WANT that compliments the product they’ll be purchasing.

Promote some higher-priced products that pay you $100.00 or more in commissions per sale and you can see how this could add up to a nice chunk of change.

1.3 Set Up Service – One of the biggest challenges facing many folks online deals with setting things up.  Either they don’t have the time or they don’t have the knowledge.  Here’s where you come in.

Let’s say someone buys a product through your referral that comes with “resale rights” which allows them to sell the product themselves (like with paypal or clickbank) and keep all the profit, then you can offer to set things up for them and get it going.

If they order hosting, then you could offer to upload their webpage files and verify their order links. If they order an autoresponder service, then you can ensure that their messages are formatted and loaded properly.  If they order a webmaster script, then you can offer to install it for them. The possibilities here are unlimited.

The great thing about providing a set up service for someone is the fact that the only thing you are really investing is your time. Which means, you would be trading time for commissions earned from your special offer.  Most folks would gladly trade an hour of their lives for $25.00 – $50.00 in commissions earned.

Think about the *potential* here.  You begin making a service offer — doing something you enjoy doing anyway — and folks start taking you up on it.  You spend a few hours each week, earning $25.00 – $50.00 per hour in commissions from the affiliate program you promoted.

What happens when your offer becomes more and more mainstream and you begin making it for more and more affiliate programs and you have more and more people accepting your incentive and ordering through your affiliate link?

It could lead into a full-time position of providing these services and skyrocketing your affiliate income.  Let’s say that you average working 60 minutes per sale — it would only take 35-40 sales per week to become full-time status.

And 35-40 sales X $25-$50.00 commission per sale = A potential of $2,000 / week or a bonafide six-figure income online each year through affiliate programs…simply because you began offering a service other affiliates aren’t offering.

Now, I realize that those numbers may sound far-fetched.  So does earning $200,000 a year from $19.97 ebooks, but that’s a reality for some marketers. So, don’t let the *potential* seem unreachable.

Is it realistic to expect such numbers. Probably not. But, let’s say you earned half of that or 1/4 of that… most folks FAIL online, so earning $25,000 a year working part-time, doing something you enjoy would be a tremendous success.

The point I want to make is this:  the opportunity is here.  If you can provide a set up service, then there is no reason why you can’t earn greater affiliate commissions because of it.  I can’t promise you a certain dollar amount of income and I won’t give you unrealistic expectations.  The average person won’t see this thing through. And they won’t see anything but average commission checks…

If you want above average income in affiliate marketing, then you’ve got to be an above average affiliate.  And that means applying the things you learn — and sticking to it.

1.4 Free Domain Registration – I have a friend who claims one of the largest monthly commission checks he receives comes from the popular hosting company, HostGator.com

He earns up to $125 dollars for each customer that he refers to them, which is a LOT – therefore he knew a LOT of other affiliates would be promoting them, so he decided that he needed a unique approach.

So, what he did was begin offering FREE domain registration for anyone who agreed to host their domain at HostGator through his affiliate link.

It cost him $7.17 to register each domain.  So, he had an up front investment for each new customer and the turnaround time for commission payout is roughly 60 days — which many would say is waaaaaay too much to recruit a new customer. But, here’s the logic…

HostGator doesn’t pay a small commission each month like most hosting company’s – no, they pay in CHUNKS! And the more customers you refer, the more money you make. Heck, just 20 customers referred in a month pays you $2000. So what if you had to purchase 20 domains at an average of $8 each, your cost would be $160 – but your PROFIT would be $1840 – you tell me where you can invest less than $200 and make nearly TEN TIMES THAT in return?!

Here’s another example, let’s say you made 10 sales in one month which would pay you $75 each, or $750. Your cost for 10 domains is just over $75 – so in other words, just ONE CUSTOMER covers your ENTIRE COST and the rest is PURE PROFIT!

Now that initial investment is looking pretty good! :o )

Bottom line:  He gets LOTS of hosting customers earning him $100.00+ each!  Why?  Because of a DIFFERENT approach.  He tried something unique that no one else was offering.  Sure, it cost him a little going in, but it paid off quickly and will continue to pay off for the lifetime of the program.

Now let me ask you this… why couldn’t YOU offer the same free domain registration package that he is? It’s an excellent idea for anyone who wants to take it on, and I don’t know of anyone else who’s currently doing it.  Should be some easy commissions.

It really is as simple as finding yourself a quality hosting company that pays a nice commission each month, preferably one with a great hosting package and no setup fees.  And then get to work promoting your incentive.  Don’t worry, I’ll show you how to do that in an upcoming segment too.

1.5 Cash Rebate – My, my, my — how the ideas fly when I think of this incentive.

The idea here is to offer an incentive that makes it RISK-FREE for your contacts to make a purchase through your link.  YOU take the risk going in, hoping it will pay off in the next month…and beyond.

It’s the perfect incentive for folks promoting any product or service that is billable monthly.  You get them into the program at no charge to them — they get hooked and decide to stay with the program — you earn income for as long as they remain active.  Nice system.

Here’s a classic example: Net Pro Soft is an ‘all-in-one’ suite of *must have* marketing tools for online marketers.  With a Net Pro Soft membership, you receive literally EVERYTHING needed to run a full-fledged Internet business of your own – all from ONE central location; web hosting, shopping carts, autoresponder accounts, ad tracking, and more with NO INSTALL REQUIRED!  It’s an unbelievable offer. The affiliate program pays a recurring commission per month for every new customer you refer.

So, here’s how you apply this cash rebate incentive.  You offer to pay a portion of the first month’s fees for anyone who joins the membership through your affiliate link.

If the customer stays for the next month, they pay again and you earn your commission.

Now, here’s why this particular program is such a smooth one for incentive marketing…

…few folks quit after the first month.

Why?  Firstly, because it is such an incredible service and offers so much for such a small fee.  It would almost be foolish to cancel the darn thing for tools that every netrepreneur uses.

Secondly, most of the members will end up joining the affiliate program and start promoting it themselves.  If they refer a few members, then their own monthly fee is paid for in commissions.  So, why quit something that isn’t costing you anything.

Finally,  and most importantly, it’s too much trouble to quit.  They have their autoresponder messages loaded into the system. Their download pages are hosted in the system. They have leads who have subscribed to their mailing lists.  They have input their payment links on their sales pages. They have began advertising.  It would be a great big hassle to move all of that to some other system, and it would be darn near insane to simply cancel the account and lose all of that.  So, they stay, as you and I would stay.

I’ll be honest with you, I’d rather pay the fee each month than to go to the hassle of moving it somewhere else, even if someone was offering the entire package for half the price.  Once things are in place, we simply don’t like to move them. And as a result you have a GUARANTEED INCOME pouring in month after month because of INCENTIVE MARKETING.

You take away their risk on the front end, they love it and begin profiting from it themselves and have invested their time and energy into setting things up…and they stay with ya!
